Message from the Vice Chancellor

A very warm greetings and welcome to the Pokhara University community! Since its inception in 1997, the University has shown a commitment to innovation and to serving the needs of its community and nation with a vision “to be a leader in the promotion of education through quality higher education and community service”. Within the short span of its existence, the University has achieved remarkable success and continues to forge its future with new program initiatives: a modern curriculum, research endeavors, student engagement, professional training, faculty development, international collaborations and much more.

 We are proud of our graduates who are serving within the nation and around the globe. It becomes possible due to our innovative and forward-thinking approach. The greatest strength of any institution is its people. 

Therefore, all the Pokhara University community- our students, teaching and non-teaching staffs are the main reason of this success. As a Vice-Chancellor I am committed to keep good academic environment to encourage the real academic brilliants. We focus for further refining our strategic direction and identifying opportunities for the further flourishing in the development of University in multi-dimensions. We are deeply committed to focus on refining the curriculum, developing required infrastructures, running almost all programs offered by University in its own constituent schools, introducing new programs to meet the national and global current need and to create good environment for its constituent schools, joint-constituent colleges and affiliated colleges. With the active participation of all students, teaching and non-teaching staffs, we are much confident that these efforts help to stand Pokhara University tall as a center of excellence that is able to develop confident leaders, independent thinkers, scientists and creative entrepreneurs. Pokhara University is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and to developing leaders across different disciplines. We do our best to create a vibrant and enriching teaching/learning environment that inspires innovation and entrepreneurship.
